| Upgrade
installation
Note: When upgrading an existing Reader installation, it is NOT
necessary to uninstall the previous Reader prior to installation.
In some previous versions, Acrobat eBook Reader was called Glassbook®
Reader™. If you already have a version of the standard or Plus Glassbook
Reader installed, you can install Acrobat eBook Reader 2.2. If you are
upgrading from a 2.0 Plus Reader, your American Heritage Dictionary will
be preserved and used in place of the Proximity dictionary in 2.2.
Follow these instructions to upgrade from Glassbook Reader and Acrobat
eBook Reader 2.x to Acrobat eBook Reader 2.2:
| 1. |
Before you install Acrobat
eBook Reader, ensure that you have not set Glassbook Reader to be
the preferred viewer for PDF documents. Take the following steps:

then click Preferences to display the Preferences dialog box. (3)
Clear the Use the Glassbook Reader as the Primary PDF Reader check
box. (4) Close the Preferences dialog box. (5) Quit the
Glassbook Reader. |

Do not remove (uninstall) the
Glassbook Reader or the earlier version of Acrobat eBook
Reader. |

Reader and begin the installation program. |

When the installation program
asks in which directory to install the Acrobat eBook Reader, the
