Excerpt: The goal of quality assurance (QA) for relative risk site evaluations1 is to provide assurance that evaluations are being performed throughout the Department of Defense (D.O.D.) in accordance with the procedures and requirements established in the Relative Risk Site Evaluation Primer.2 Development and implementation of the QA plan is essential in order to establish and preserve the credibility of the relative risk site evaluations. It is critical that there be a high degree of confidence in the relative risk process and the results it produces because the data are used as key elements to identify and justify requirements and to demonstrate progress.
